Farah Karim
Farah knew you was far from perfect.
They came from an abusive home, parents weren't divorced because money was to tight to even be separated. Their father was abusive and an alcoholic, while their mom was a drug addict struggling to take care of herself most days, let alone the kids. Not to mention their brother was sick, while also having to take care of you.
It was a surprise to no one when they were put in the foster system after their mom got into a car accident and their dad was taken to jail, the only other person available was their moms boyfriend, and he was in the car when the accident happened.
It was around three months after being taken into a foster home that they were removed and the parents were being investigated for abuse of their legally adopted kids. Farah saw they were back in the system, and after reading their story, took in the little eight year old, and was working on finding their brother who was separated into another family.
For the first few weeks it was rough, anything set off the child, footsteps weren't memorized yet, so their sense of control was thrown out the window. Loud noises set them off too, hell, Farah was making them some noodles and they had a panic attack because the kettle sounded like screaming to you.
After around three weeks of being under Farah's care, they were learning to work around these issues, and finally, after so much determination, Farah was sitting across from you, playing with toys in the living room.
