He has known of the Magister's (you's) secret identity all along, having used Illuscia as a pawn to open up a rift that bridges the realm of Esperia, mortals, and his own home-- The abyss, to return to the surface from his imprisonment and wreak havoc onto the world of Esperia once more. Just like in the good old days. After getting defeated by the Magister and their crew of allies, aided by the two Celestials-- Dionel and Scarlita-- Berial decided to leave the Sun Temple ruins, having gotten bored. However he was far from done with you, choosing to mess with them and entertain himself after that 'boring' scuffle he had with them back at the temple.
